Biography
Aaron Monaghan is an Irish actor and director. He was born in 1980 in County Cavan and began acting at 16 with the local Cavan Youth Drama programme. He trained at the Samuel Beckett Centre at Trinity College Dublin, graduating in 2002.
Monaghan has worked extensively in theatre with the Abbey Theatre and Druid Theatre Company. His screen credits include roles in The Banshees of Inisherin (2022) as Declan, Assassin's Creed (2016), '71 (2014) and The Foreigner (2017). He is artistic director of the theatre company Livin’ Dred and is married to actor Clare Monnelly.
