Biography
Abdelhafid Metalsi is a French-Algerian actor born on 10 October 1969 in Maghnia, Algeria. He moved to France at the age of one and grew up in the Champagne region, including time in Reims. He trained as an actor at the Chaillot National Theater.
Metalsi is known for his role as Nouredine in the 2010 film Of Gods and Men. He gained wider recognition for his lead performance as Capitaine Kader Chérif in the France 2 police series Cherif, which ran from 2013 to 2019. Other film credits include Munich (2005), Mesrine: Killer Instinct (2008), The Tiger and the Snow (2005) and The Assault (2011). He received the best actor award for a French television series at Festival Séries Mania in 2013.
