Biography
Adam Barr is an American television screenwriter and producer. He began his career in the early 1990s, writing episodes of series including Parker Lewis Can't Lose and Weird Science.
Barr is best known for his work on Will & Grace (1998–2020), for which he wrote numerous episodes and served in various production roles; the series won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2000. His other credits include writing for Dinosaurs (1991), Desperate Housewives (2004), The New Adventures of Old Christine (2006), Suburgatory (2011–2012), Ghosted (2017) and Lucky Hank (2023). He also wrote and directed the short film Mackenheim (2002).
Barr graduated from Harvard College.
