Biography
Adam Shapiro is an American actor. He graduated from the University of Maryland's School of Theatre and is a co-founder of the IAMA Theatre Company in Los Angeles. His stage work includes the original casts of several plays and the role of Ogie in the Broadway production of Waitress.
On screen, Shapiro has appeared in films including Now You See Me (2013), Steve Jobs (2015) as Avie Tevanian, Mank (2020) as George S. Kaufman and She Said (2022). Television credits include recurring roles as Mr. Shapiro in Never Have I Ever (2020–2023) and as Chef Adam Shapiro in The Bear (2022–).
Shapiro is the founder of Shappy Pretzel Co., a Los Angeles bakery inspired by his Philadelphia roots. He is married to actress Katie Lowes.
