Biography
Adam Tomlinson is a British production designer. He graduated from Nottingham Trent University and has more than 25 years’ experience in film and television art departments, advancing from runner to lead designer.
His early credits include production design on Dead Man's Shoes (2004). Later work encompasses supervising art direction on The Duke (2020), Everybody's Talking About Jamie (2021) and Benediction (2021), and production design on series including Boiling Point (2023) and The Bay (2022–2024).
Tomlinson was production designer on the Netflix series Adolescence (2025), filmed in a continuous one-take format. He won the Royal Television Society Craft & Design Award for Production Design (Scripted) for the series in 2025 and was nominated for an Art Directors Guild Award.
