Biography
Aida Turturro is an American actress. She was born on 25 September 1962 in Brooklyn, New York City, and studied theatre at the State University of New York at New Paltz.
She is best known for portraying Janice Soprano in the HBO series The Sopranos (1999–2007), appearing in 72 episodes across six seasons and receiving two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Turturro is a cousin of actors John Turturro and Nicholas Turturro. Her other television credits include recurring roles in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and The Blacklist, and she has appeared in films such as Sleepers (1996) and Deep Blue Sea (1999).
