Biography
Alastair G. Cumming is an actor credited on film and television under variations of his name, including Alastair Cummings and Alastair Cumming.
He was born in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and trained originally in law before studying acting in London. His screen credits include the role of Philip, Mr Neville's assistant, in Peter Greenaway's The Draughtsman's Contract (1982); Tommy Stone in Todd Haynes's Velvet Goldmine (1998); Merve in the television series Skins (2007); and Colin Frazer in Doctor Who (1983). He has also appeared in Oranges and Sunshine (2010) and Welcome to the Punch (2013).
