Biography
Alex Russell is an Australian actor. Born on 11 December 1987 in Brisbane, Queensland, he trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, graduating in 2008.
He made his feature film debut in Wasted on the Young (2011) and gained prominence with a leading role in Chronicle (2012). Subsequent film credits include Bait (2012), The Host (2013), Carrie (2013) as Billy Nolan, Unbroken (2014), Goldstone (2016), Jungle (2017) and Only the Brave (2017).
From 2017 he portrayed Jim Street in the television series S.W.A.T., also directing episodes of the show. He has directed several short films.
