Biography
Alexandra Shipp is an American actress and singer. Born on 16 July 1991 in Phoenix, Arizona, she moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17. She made her screen debut in a minor role in the 2009 film Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and appeared in the third season of the Nickelodeon series House of Anubis (2013) as KT Rush.
Shipp rose to prominence playing singer Aaliyah in the 2014 television film Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B and Kimberly Woodruff in the 2015 film Straight Outta Compton. She is known for portraying Storm in the X-Men films X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and Dark Phoenix (2019), Abby Suso in Love, Simon (2018), and Susan Wilson in tick, tick... BOOM! (2021). In 2023 she appeared as Claudia in Anyone but You and as Writer Barbie in Barbie.
