Biography

Aleksei Borisovich Rodionov is a Russian cinematographer. Born on 26 April 1947 in Moscow, he graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in 1972. He began his career as a television cameraman before moving to feature films.

Rodionov is known for his work on Elem Klimov’s Come and See (1985) and Sally Potter’s Orlando (1992), with whom he later collaborated on Yes (2004) and The Party (2017). His other credits include Admiral (2008) and Generation P (2011). He has received Nika Award nominations and shared a Golden Eagle Award for Admiral.
