Biography
Alison Bartlett-O'Reilly is an American actress born on 14 July 1971 in New York City. She is best known for portraying Gina Jefferson on the children's television series Sesame Street from 1987 to 2021, reprising the role in related specials and productions including The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland.
She began her career as a child actor with an Off-Broadway role in Landscape of the Body (1984) and a Broadway debut in Hurly Burly (1985). Other television credits include recurring roles in The Sopranos (1999) and Rescue Me (2004), and guest appearances across the Law & Order franchise. She received an Emmy nomination for her performance in the 1991 ABC After-School Special It's Only Rock and Roll.
Bartlett-O'Reilly has appeared in recent films including The History of Sound (2025) as Samantha and Materialists (2025) as Jaime. She is married to writer and director Harry O'Reilly.
