Biography
Allen Joseph (also credited as Alan Joseph) was an American character actor. Born on 29 May 1919 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he appeared in supporting roles in films including Eraserhead (1977) as Mr. X, Marathon Man (1976) as Babe's Father, Eyes of Laura Mars (1978) as a policeman, and Raging Bull (1980) as a jeweler (credited as Allan Joseph). He died on 30 November 2012 in Minneapolis.
Joseph had an extensive career in television, with guest roles in series such as Mission: Impossible (1966–1972), Get Smart (1965), Kojak (1973), The Six Million Dollar Man (1974), and Airwolf (1984). He also worked in theatre, appearing in productions including Eugene O'Neill's Desire Under the Elms at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., and wrote original plays staged in New York.
