Biography
Allison Abner is a television writer and producer. Her credits include story and teleplay contributions to The West Wing (1999), where she also served as story editor, as well as writing episodes of Without a Trace (2002), NCIS (2003), Rake (2014), Narcos (2015) and When We Rise (2017). She has worked as a producer on several of these series, including supervising producer on Narcos.
Abner is the daughter of the late Ewart Abner Jr., former president of Motown Records. She is married to Gene Sperling, with whom she has two children. She has written books including one on self-esteem for teenage girls and The Black Parenting Guide.
