Biography
Amanda Overton is a writer and producer working in television. She wrote an episode of the Apple TV+ series Severance (2022) and served as a producer on the first season. She has also written episodes of the animated series Arcane (2021–2024) and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (2023), on which she worked as co-executive producer.
Earlier in her career she held roles including script coordinator on True Detective (2014) and other series. Overton received Writers Guild of America Awards for Drama Series and New Series for Severance in 2023, and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program as co-executive producer on Arcane in 2025. She previously worked as a geneticist.
