Biography
Amari Cheatom is an American actor. He was born on 19 January 1986 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and trained at the Juilliard School, graduating with a BFA in Drama in 2008.
Cheatom's screen credits include Roy in Django Unchained (2012), Carter Johnson in Roman J. Israel, Esq. (2017), Leon Grant in Crown Heights (2017) and an undercover cop in Detroit (2017). He played Collins in Judas and the Black Messiah (2021).
Earlier work includes Jimmy Dixon in Night Catches Us (2010) and Cortez in The Alchemist Cookbook (2016). He has also appeared in television episodes of Numb3rs and stage productions.
