Biography
Amber Benson is an American actress, writer, director and producer. Born on 8 January 1977 in Birmingham, Alabama, she made her feature film debut at the age of 14 as Ella McShane in Steven Soderbergh's King of the Hill (1993).
She is best known for portraying Tara Maclay in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1999–2002). Benson has also directed, produced and starred in the films Chance (2002) and Lovers, Liars & Lunatics (2006), and co-directed Drones (2010) with Adam Busch.
Her other credits include roles in The Crush (1993), Can't Hardly Wait (1998), Latter Days (2004), Grey's Anatomy (2005) and Supernatural (2005).
