Biography
Amie Doherty is an Irish composer, conductor and orchestrator for film and television. She holds a bachelor's degree in music from Trinity College Dublin and a master's in scoring for film, television and video games from Berklee College of Music, where she graduated magna cum laude and received the Howard Shore Scholarship. She was selected as a Sundance Institute Composer Fellow in 2016.
Doherty is the first woman to score an animated feature for DreamWorks Animation, with Spirit Untamed (2021). Her other composing credits include She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022), Blue Eye Samurai (2023), Happiest Season (2020), The High Note (2020), Undone (2019) and Freakier Friday (2025). She has also worked as an orchestrator and conductor on series such as Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, Fargo and The Umbrella Academy, and on recordings including Lady Gaga's Chromatica album.
She was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2022. Her scores have received nominations from the International Film Music Critics Association, the Society of Composers & Lyricists and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
