Biography
Amy Schumer is an American comedian and actress. Born in New York City on 1 June 1981, she graduated from Towson University in 2003 with a degree in theatre. She began performing stand-up comedy in 2004 and placed fourth on the fifth season of the NBC series Last Comic Standing in 2007.
Schumer created, wrote and starred in the Comedy Central sketch series Inside Amy Schumer (2013–2016), which won a Primetime Emmy Award. She wrote and starred in the film Trainwreck (2015) and appeared in I Feel Pretty (2018). Her voice credits include roles in The Simpsons, Family Guy, BoJack Horseman and Trolls Band Together (2023), in which she voiced Velvet.
