Biography

Andrew Piddington is an English film and television director, screenwriter and producer. Born on 18 October 1949 in Romford, Essex, he began his career in the early 1980s working with filmmaker Brian Lewis and directing biographical dramas for television, including profiles of D. H. Lawrence and Malcolm Lowry.

Piddington is known for feature films such as Shuttlecock (1991), The Fall (1999) and The Killing of John Lennon (2006), the last of which he also wrote. His television credits include episodes of Agatha Christie's Poirot and the documentary series SAS: The Soldiers' Story (1996). He has also directed documentaries and other television films, including The Dinosaur Hunters (2002).
