Biography
Andrey Dergachyov is a Russian composer and sound director. He has worked regularly with director Andrey Zvyagintsev since 2003, composing original scores for The Return (2003) and The Banishment (2007), and heading the sound department on Elena (2011), Leviathan (2014) and Loveless (2017). He has also contributed music or sound to films including Fidelity (2019) and Viking (2016).
Dergachyov received the Russian Guild of Film Critics award for best composer in 2007, shared with Arvo Pärt, and won a Motion Picture Sound Editors award in 2018 for sound editing on Loveless. His credits span more than twenty feature and documentary films across Russia and other countries.
