Biography

Andy Robin is a writer for television and film, also credited as Andrew Robin. He contributed to numerous episodes of the NBC sitcom Seinfeld (1989) between 1993 and 1998, often in collaboration with Gregg Kavet. Their episode 'The Fatigues' won the 1997 Writers Guild of America Award for Episodic Comedy.

Robin co-wrote the screenplay for the animated film Bee Movie (2007) and the Netflix film Unfrosted (2024). With Kavet, he wrote and directed the independent feature Live Free or Die (2006) and the book Saving Face – How to Lie, Fake, and Maneuver Your Way Out of Life's Most Awkward Situations (2005). He earlier wrote for Saturday Night Live and co-created The Michael Richards Show (2000).

Robin attended Harvard University as an undergraduate. After many years in television, he obtained a medical degree from Brown University and works as a psychiatrist.
