Biography
Ángel Salazar (2 March 1956 – 11 August 2024) was a Cuban-American actor and comedian. Born in Cuba, he left as a teenager, swimming to the Guantánamo Bay Naval Base before settling in New York City, where he began performing stand-up comedy at the age of eighteen.
He was best known for playing Chi Chi in the 1983 film Scarface. Other film roles included appearances in Boulevard Nights (1979), Punchline (1988), Maniac Cop 2 (1990) and Carlito's Way (1993). Salazar also performed stand-up on television, including Last Comic Standing and HBO comedy specials.
