Biography
Anne Gee Byrd is an American actress. Born on 5 January 1938 in Toledo, Ohio, she earned a BA from the University of Toledo and an MA from the University of Michigan. She began her career in regional theatre, often working with her husband, actor David Byrd, and later became associated with the Antaeus Theater Company in Los Angeles.
Byrd has appeared in numerous television series, including The Mentalist (2010), Shameless (2011), 9-1-1 (2021), Monk (2002), NCIS: Los Angeles (2022) and ER (1994). Her film roles include parts in Moving (1988), 8MM (1999) and Wild (2014). She played Mrs. Huddleston in the 2026 film The End of Oak Street.
She has received several Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards for her stage work.
