Biography

Anne Sopel is a British film and television editor. She was born in Stoke Newington, London, England, UK.

She began her career in the editorial department, working as an assistant editor on The Killing Fields (1984) and Withnail & I (1987). She later edited features including The Young Poisoner's Handbook (1995), Deathwatch (2002), Crush (2002), Whisky Galore (2016), Military Wives (2020) and The Last Bus (2021), and series such as The White Princess (2017) and Bad Sisters (2022).

Sopel has also edited episodes of Renegade Nell (2024), Belgravia: The Next Chapter (2024), Miss Austen (2025) and Riot Women (2025). She has received one award.
