Biography
Anoop Manoj Desai is an American actor and singer-songwriter. He first gained national attention as a sixth-place finalist on the eighth season of American Idol in 2009. He subsequently released music under the pseudonym TOTEM and made his professional screen debut in 2020.
Desai has appeared in television series including Billions (2020), Little Voice (2020), Russian Doll (2022), Evil (2022), What We Do in the Shadows (2022–2023) as the Djinn, Under the Bridge (2024) as Raj Masihajjar, and St. Denis Medical (2025) as Ben Harris. His film roles include Josh in The Adults (2023) and Robert in Babygirl (2024).
