Anthony Hayes is an Australian actor, also credited as Tony Hayes. He was born on 21 September 1977 in Brisbane, Queensland.
Hayes is known for roles including Detective Justin Norris in Animal Kingdom (2010), Sergeant Vernon Knuckey in The Light Between Oceans (2016), Vic in Cargo (2017), Pete Duckman in War Machine (2017), Sgt. Rickofferson in The Rover (2014), and Chris Briggs in Better Man (2024). He has also appeared in Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002), Ned Kelly (2003), The Square (2008) and television series such as The Slap (2011).
Hayes has written, directed and produced short films and features including Ten Empty (2008) and New Skin (2002). He received AFI and Film Critics Circle of Australia award nominations and wins for supporting roles in films such as Look Both Ways (2005) and Suburban Mayhem (2006).
