Biography
Anthony Heald is an American actor. Born on 25 August 1944 in New Rochelle, New York, he graduated from Michigan State University and worked in regional theatre before entering film and television in the 1980s.
He is known for playing Dr. Frederick Chilton in The Silence of the Lambs (1991) and Red Dragon (2002). On television he portrayed Scott Guber in Boston Public (2000–2004) and had recurring roles as Judge Cooper in The Practice and Boston Legal. Other film credits include The Pelican Brief (1993), The Client (1994), A Time to Kill (1996), 8MM (1999) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006).
Heald has performed regularly with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and narrated numerous Star Wars audiobooks.
