Biography
Anthony King is an American writer, producer and comedian. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was formerly Artistic Director of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City.
King has written for television series including Playing House, Broad City (2014–), Silicon Valley (2014–), Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp (2015), Search Party (2016–), Dead to Me (2019) and The Afterparty (2022). He wrote an episode of and served as executive producer on the HBO series Rooster (2026). He co-wrote the book for the Broadway musical Beetlejuice and received a Tony Award nomination for Best Book of a Musical. He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2011.
