Biography
Antonio Vargas is an actor and flamenco dancer and choreographer. Born in Casablanca, Morocco, he moved with his family to London at the age of nine. He trained in Spain under the dancer Antonio Marin and, at eighteen, became lead dancer with the Pilar Lopez Spanish Dance Company.
Vargas played Rico in the 1992 film Strictly Ballroom, for which he also worked as flamenco dance tutor. He appeared as Senor De L'Arena in Mission: Impossible II (2000), where he also served as choreographer for the flamenco sequences. Other credits include the role of Ramon Raquello in the television series Time Trax (1993–1994).
