Biography
Anya Epstein is an American television writer and producer. Born on 10 July 1970 in New York City, she began her career on the NBC series Homicide: Life on the Street (1993), working as a story editor and assistant to producer Tom Fontana before receiving writing credits on numerous episodes and advancing to producer roles from 1997 to 1999.
She has written for series including The Beat (2000), Commander in Chief (2005), Tell Me You Love Me (2007), In Treatment (2008), The Affair (2014), The Deuce (2017) and I Know This Much Is True (2020). Epstein has collaborated professionally with her husband, writer and actor Dan Futterman, whom she married in 2000. She is the granddaughter of screenwriter Philip G. Epstein.
