Biography
Aparna Nancherla is an American stand-up comedian and actress. She was born on 22 August 1982 in Washington, D.C., and graduated from Amherst College in 2005 with a degree in psychology.
After college she began performing stand-up in Washington, D.C., before moving to Los Angeles and then New York. She has written for Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell and Late Night with Seth Meyers. Her voice credits include Hollyhock in BoJack Horseman (2017–2020), Jades and Nephrite in Steven Universe, and Susmita in Bob's Burgers. Live-action roles include Sona in A Simple Favor (2018) and Another Simple Favor (2025), and appearances in What We Do in the Shadows (2019) and Space Force (2020). She voices Nisha in the forthcoming film Hoppers (2026).
