Biography
Arie Verveen is an Irish actor. He studied under acting coach David G. Bennett in London, where he made his stage debut in a production of A Hatful of Rain by Michael V. Gazzo, which he co-produced and starred in. His first lead role in a feature film was as Nick in Caught (1996), directed by Robert M. Young, for which he received a Special Achievement Satellite Award for Outstanding New Talent and an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance.
Verveen is known for his role as Pfc. Charlie Dale in Terrence Malick's The Thin Red Line (1998), for which he received a Satellite Award. Other credits include Murphy in Sin City (2005), Henry in Cabin Fever (2002), Liam O'Neill in the FX series Sons of Anarchy (2010–2011), and appearances in Running Free (1999), Sin (2003) and Fire with Fire (2012). He has also worked with directors including Robert Rodriguez, Frank Miller, Eli Roth and Guy Ritchie. His sister Viviana Verveen is also an actress.
