Biography

Armin Rohde is a German actor. Born on 4 April 1955 in Gladbeck, he trained at the Folkwang School in Essen from 1980 to 1984 and completed clown training with Pierre Byland. He worked in theatre in Bielefeld and Bochum, becoming a member of the ensemble at Schauspielhaus Bochum from 1987 to 1995.

Rohde made his film debut in the early 1990s and gained wider recognition for his supporting role as Mr Schuster in Run Lola Run (1998). He has appeared in international productions including A Sound of Thunder (2005) and Contagion (2011), as well as numerous German films and television series. He has been married to Angela Baronin von Schilling since 1995.
