Biography
Arwel Jones, also credited as Arwel W. Jones or Arwel Wyn Jones, is a Welsh production designer and art director. He began working in television art departments on Doctor Who and its spin-offs, including as supervising art director on early series and production designer on The Sarah Jane Adventures.
Jones served as production designer on the BBC series Sherlock (2010–2017) and returned to Doctor Who for series 11 (2018–2019). His other credits include the Netflix series Dracula (2020), Inside Man (2022) and the films Where Hands Touch (2018) and Lady Chatterley's Lover (2015). He was production designer on the 2025 Netflix miniseries Hostage.
He has received multiple awards and nominations, including a Primetime Emmy nomination, and is married to make-up and hair designer Claire Pritchard, with whom he has collaborated.
