Biography
Astrid Allwyn was an American stage and film actress. Born Astrid Christofferson on 27 November 1905 in South Manchester, Connecticut, she died on 31 March 1978 in Los Angeles, California.
She made her Broadway debut in 1929 in Street Scene and began her screen career in 1932. Allwyn appeared in supporting roles in films including Follow the Fleet (1936), Love Affair (1939) and Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), in which she played Susan Paine. Her screen work continued until 1943.
She was married to actor Robert Kent from 1937 until their divorce in 1941, and then to Charles O. Fee until her death. Two of her daughters, including Melinda O. Fee, became actresses.
