Biography
Audra Lindley (24 September 1918 – 16 October 1997) was an American actress. She appeared as Mrs. Corcoran in the 1972 film The Heartbreak Kid.
Lindley began her career in theatre, studying with Max Reinhardt and appearing on Broadway from the 1940s. After raising five children, she took recurring roles in television soaps including Search for Tomorrow and Another World. She gained wider recognition for her performances in sitcoms such as Bridget Loves Bernie and, most notably, as Helen Roper in Three's Company (1977–1979) and its spin-off The Ropers.
Her film credits include Desert Hearts (1985), Troop Beverly Hills (1989) and The Relic (1997). She was also seen in episodes of The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote and Friends.
