Biography
Augustine Frizzell is an American actress, film director and screenwriter. Born on 27 July 1979 in Garland, Texas, she attended South Garland High School and took classes at Richland College.
She made her feature directorial debut with Never Goin' Back (2018), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Frizzell has directed episodes of the series Euphoria (2019) and Sweetbitter (2018), as well as the film The Last Letter from Your Lover (2021). She directed four episodes of the Netflix series The Boroughs (2026).
As an actress, Frizzell has appeared in films including Ain't Them Bodies Saints (2013), Krisha (2016), Pete's Dragon (2016), A Ghost Story (2017) and The Old Man & the Gun (2018). She is married to filmmaker David Lowery and is the granddaughter of musician Lefty Frizzell.
