Biography
Barbara Rhoades is an American actress. Born on 23 March 1947 in Poughkeepsie, New York, she began taking dancing lessons at the age of seven and appeared as a showgirl in the Broadway musical Funny Girl (1964). She also performed in summer stock productions before signing a contract with Universal Pictures in 1967.
Rhoades is known for her roles in comedy and mystery productions. She played Penelope 'Bad Penny' Cushings in the film The Shakiest Gun in the West (1968) and had a recurring role as Maggie Chandler in the series Soap (1980–1981). Other television work includes regular appearances in Busting Loose (1977) as Melody Feebeck and guest roles in Mission: Impossible (1972), Columbo, Bewitched, Starsky & Hutch, Murder, She Wrote and Law & Order.
She has been married to television producer Bernie Orenstein since 1979; they have one child.
