Biography

Beeson Carroll was an American actor. He began working in the mid-1960s, appearing in television episodes and films such as Mister Buddwing (1966). His early screen roles included parts in Bananas (1971) and Lady Liberty (1971).

Carroll played Capt. Earl Delise in Coming Home (1978). Other film credits include Bound for Glory (1976), Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone (1983), Crimes of the Heart (1986), Rounders (1998) and Diggers (2006). On television he appeared in series including MASH (1977) as Lt. Col. Donald Penobscott, Hill Street Blues, Miami Vice and The Waltons, and had recurring roles in Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and Palmerstown, U.S.A.. He also performed on stage and received an Obie Award in 1970 for The Unseen Hand*.

Born in New York City on 21 September 1934, Carroll died on 15 March 2018.
