Biography
Bekah Brunstetter is an American playwright, screenwriter and television writer and producer. She was born on 13 June 1982 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MFA in dramatic writing from The New School.
Her television credits include writing for Switched at Birth (2011–2015) and This Is Us (2016–2019), on which she also served as producer, as well as writing and producing on Maid (2021). She wrote for the series Sirens (2025). Her stage work includes the play The Cake and the book for the musical The Notebook (2024). She has received Primetime Emmy nominations and Writers Guild of America awards and nominations.
