Biography
Ben Best was an American actor and writer. He attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, alongside collaborators Danny McBride, Jody Hill and David Gordon Green.
Best co-created the HBO comedy series Eastbound & Down (2009–2013) with McBride and Hill, and appeared in eight episodes as Clegg, a local bartender. He co-wrote and co-starred in the film The Foot Fist Way (2006), and co-wrote Your Highness (2011). His acting credits include Superbad (2007), What Happens in Vegas (2008), Observe and Report (2009) and Land of the Lost (2009).
Best died on 10 September 2021.
