Biography
Ben Karlin is an American television producer and writer. Born in 1971 in Needham, Massachusetts, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
He began his career contributing to The Onion before moving into television. Karlin served as head writer and executive producer on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and was a co-creator and executive producer of The Colbert Report. He later wrote for and produced episodes of Modern Family.
Karlin has won multiple Primetime Emmy Awards. His credits include producing the film 50/50 (2011) and serving as writer and executive producer on the series Bait (2026).
