Biography
Ben Guillory, also credited as Bennet Guillory or Bennett Guillory, is an American actor, theatre producer and director. Born on 7 November 1949 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he was raised in San Francisco, California, and studied acting at the American Conservatory Theatre there.
In 1994 he co-founded the Robey Theatre Company in Los Angeles with Danny Glover and serves as its artistic director. He received an Ovation Award nomination for Featured Actor in a Play in 2008 for his performance in The Piano Lesson at the Hayworth Theatre.
Guillory is known for his film role as Grady in The Color Purple (1985) and television appearances including The Source in Charmed (1998), Rep. Jackson in The West Wing (2003), and roles in Babylon 5 (1997), JAG (1998), NCIS (2003) and Masters of Sex (2013).
