Biography
Bernat Vilaplana is a Spanish film editor. He has collaborated frequently with directors J.A. Bayona and Guillermo del Toro.
His editing credits include Pan's Labyrinth (2006), Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008), The Impossible (2012), Crimson Peak (2015), A Monster Calls (2016), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and episodes of the series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022). He also co-wrote the screenplay for Society of the Snow (2023).
Vilaplana has received Goya Awards for best editing for Pan's Labyrinth and A Monster Calls, and Gaudí Awards for The Impossible and A Monster Calls.
