Biography
Betsy Brantley is an American actress. She grew up in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, and studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama in the United Kingdom.
Her film roles include Kate in Five Days One Summer (1982), Neely Pritt in Shock Treatment (1981), The Mother in The Princess Bride (1987), Eileen McWirther in The Fourth Protocol (1987), Jessica's Performance Model in Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), Mrs. Munson in Schizopolis (1997), and the voice of Kimi in Kimi (2022). On television she has appeared in Tour of Duty and Second Noah.
She is the older sister of producer and screenwriter Duncan Brantley. She was married to filmmaker Steven Soderbergh from 1989 to 1994 and previously to actor Simon Dutton.
