Biography
Beulah Archuletta was an American actress who appeared in numerous Western films, often in uncredited roles as Native American women. Born Beulah Donahue on 24 August 1909 in Phoenix, Arizona, she was a member of the Gila River Indian Community and of Maricopa (Pee-Posh) heritage. She attended the Phoenix Indian School, graduating in 1929.
Archuletta began her screen career in the late 1940s and worked steadily through the early 1960s. She is best known for her role as Look in The Searchers (1956). Other credits include Key Largo (1948), The Gunfighter (1950), The Big Sky (1952) as Blackfoot Dancer, Calamity Jane (1953), The Man from Laramie (1955), The Bravados (1958) and How the West Was Won (1962). She also appeared in episodes of the television series Wagon Train.
She died in Los Angeles on 28 October 1969.
