Biography
Bill Barretta is an American puppeteer, actor and producer, best known for his work with the Muppets. He began performing with the Jim Henson Company in 1991 as the body performer of Earl Sinclair on the series Dinosaurs. His film debut as a principal performer came in Muppet Treasure Island (1996), in which he played Clueless Morgan and provided the voice of the Swedish Chef, as well as hands for Blind Pew.
Barretta developed several characters on Muppets Tonight, including Pepe the King Prawn, Johnny Fiama and Bobo the Bear. He has since taken over a number of roles originally performed by Jim Henson, such as Dr. Teeth, Rowlf the Dog and the Swedish Chef. He has also worked as a producer on Muppet television projects including It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie (2002) and The Muppets' Wizard of Oz (2005), and provided additional voices for the animated series Kim Possible.
