Biography
Dave Goelz is an American puppeteer and actor. He joined Jim Henson's team in 1973 and became a principal performer with the Muppets, creating and voicing characters including Gonzo the Great, Dr Bunsen Honeydew, Zoot and Beauregard.
Goelz performed puppetry on The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock (as Boober Fraggle and Uncle Travelling Matt) and several Muppet films. He also worked on The Dark Crystal (1982) and provided puppetry for multiple characters in Labyrinth (1986). After Jim Henson's death in 1990, he took over puppeteering Waldorf. He is the voice of the Disney character Figment.
