Biography
Bill Benz is a director, producer and editor. He began directing episodes of comedy series including Portlandia (2011–2018) and Kroll Show (2013).
His feature directorial debut, The Nowhere Inn (2020), written by Carrie Brownstein and Annie Clark, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He has directed episodes of series such as Miracle Workers (2019), Twisted Metal (2023) and I Love LA (2025), as well as comedy specials.
Benz has received Primetime Emmy nominations for his television work.
