Biography
Bill Moores (1934–2015) was a British actor from the Liverpool area. He began his career in local amateur dramatics with groups including the Rainhill Garrick Society and the Rainhill Amateur Operatic Society.
He appeared in several notable television productions and films, including Boys from the Blackstuff (1982), No Surrender (1985), Distant Voices, Still Lives (1988, uncredited), and Riff-Raff (1991) as Smurph. He was best known for playing the regular pub character Cedric in the Liverpool-set sitcom Watching (1987–1993).
Moores also served as head of the Liverpool division of the actors’ union Equity. He lived in Prescot, Merseyside, until his death in 2015.
